Investment Map Update:.
As of February 2011, Investment Map includes data on more than 130,000 foreign-owned companies located in 163 developing countries and economies in transition.
The source is Dun & Bradstreet, one of the world leaders in the provision of foreign-owned company records. The data include contact details, information on employment and sales. The data provided are organized by host country and by home country.
Moreover, new data on 2009 has been added for 48 countries. Additional 2009 data for a number of countries will be coming up shortly.

Investment Map Update:.
As of 16 July 2010, new FDI statistical data classified by industrial sector and/or by country are available in Investment Map. This tool currently shows very recent FDI statistical figures on about 100 countries (98 of which updated to 2008).
A new update with the first countries reporting 2009 data will soon be coming up.

Investment Map Update:.
As of 9 March 2010, Investment Map shows the most recent FDI annual data, classified by industrial sector and/or by country, for 15 additional countries (please see table below). This brings the total number of countries covered with 2008 data to 70.
A new update is coming up in April 2010.

As of 04 January 2010, new FDI statistical data classified by industrial sector and/or by country are available in Investment Map. This tool currently shows the most recent FDI available data (mostly referring to 2009) on 46 countries (see table below).
An update on some additional 10 countries will be coming up early 2010.
2009
May 2009:
2007 data update is now completed for flow/stock Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) at the sectorial level for 66 countries (see inventory). Some other 40 countries covered by Investment Map report data for 2006 or earlier. A new update with 2008 data will be published by the end of October 2009.
03 Feb 2009:
2007 data is now available for flows/stock of foreign direct investment at the sectoral level for 23 countries (see inventory). The other 67 countries covered by Investment Map provide data for 2006 or earlier. The next update will follow shortly.
2007 trade data on goods have been updated for 215 countries and territories. The information is now available in HS Revision 2.

10 Oct 2007:
Trade and FDI data for 2006 have been included in Investment Map. Trade data have been uploaded for all countries and territories (mirror estimates are used when the country does not report trade data in 2006). FDI data for 2006, broken down by industry, are available for around 40 countries (see inventory). From now on, FDI data broken down by industry and/or by partner will be updated on a continuous basis.
15 May 2007:
Data on more than 56,000 foreign-owned companies located in 124 developing countries and economies in transition have been included in Investment Map in May 2007.
The source of the data is Dun & Bradstreet, a world leader in the provision of foreign-owned company information. The data includes contact information, employment (29,800 foreign-owned companies reporting employment data) and sales (15,400 foreign-owned companies reporting sales) and is organised by host country, home country and ultimate owner company.
