16 July 2010:

Investment Map Update:.

As of 16 July 2010, new FDI statistical data classified by industrial sector and/or by country are available in Investment Map. This tool currently shows very recent FDI statistical figures on about 100 countries (98 of which updated to 2008).
A new update with the first countries reporting 2009 data will soon be coming up.


16 April 2010:

As of 16 April 2010, Investment Map includes new data on foreign-owned companies located in 121 developing countries and economies in transition, reaching a total of 130,000 foreign affiliates represented in the tool.

The source is Dun & Bradstreet, one of the world leaders in the provision of foreign-owned company records. Data provided are organized by host country and by home country and include information on employment, sales and year of establishment of these companies, as well as contact details of key officers in their management.

FDI annual data, classified by industrial sector and/or by country, have also been added for 11 additional countries (please see table below). This brings the number of countries covered with the most recent FDI annual data (mostly 2008 data) to 81.
