The promotion of trade and investment often go hand-in-hand. Inward investments, particularly those that improve technology and human capital, can contribute to increasing and diversifying the exportable offer. The ITC-CBI Programme on Information Management and Capacity Development in Sub-Saharan Africa provides access to Investment Map in: Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia until 30 November 2008.

Staff of selected Business Support Organisations (BSOs) and Trade Support Institutions (TSIs) will be mentored to analyze data and evaluate opportunities to promote inward investment in collaboration with their governments and business communities. These activities complement other components of the programme, to help businesses take advantage of regional and inter-regional trade opportunities. For more information about the programme, contact Mr. Eric Buchot at buchot@intracen.org or +41-22-7300824.
